About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and passionate part time cook to join our 60 place long day care service. This role is responsible for preparing nutritious, balanced meals for children in a safe and hygienic kitchen environment while supporting children’s health, wellbeing, and dietary needs.
The successful applicant will:
- Prepare healthy meals
- Cater for allergies, intolerances, cultural requirements, and individual dietary needs
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen hygiene
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and service policies
- Work collaboratively with educators and management
- Contribute to creating positive mealtime experiences for children

Essential Requirements:
Applicants must have:
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Knowledge of safe food handling and nutrition requirements for young children
- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen routines efficiently
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Understanding of the nutritional needs of children aged 0–5 years

Caring 4 Kids Kindergarten is committed to rigorous recruitment, screening, and selection practices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
The successful applicant will be required to participate in comprehensive pre-employment screening, including:
- Verification of Working With Children Check status
- Reference checks that specifically address suitability to work with children
- Relevant child protection and employment history checks
- NQA ITS prohibition notice checks
- Additional background screening where required under legislation or organisational policy
All employees are expected to actively contribute to a culture of child safety and participate in ongoing child protection and child-safe practice training.
