About the role
We are seeking a skilled Chef to prepare delicious meals from our menu and oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, staff supervision, and budgeting. You are expected to ensure quality customer service, maintain a safe working environment and prepare dishes that will delight our guests with its taste and timely delivery.
Must be available Monday – Friday from 6am.
Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to manage the kitchen day-to-day operations and ensure that all aspects are running smoothly and efficiently. The role is responsible for menu planning, purchasing and inventory control, food preparation, staff training, and ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. The Chef also leads the kitchen staff in providing excellent customer service and creating an enjoyable dining experience for guests. This position requires excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Chef Duties
- Manage daily operations in the kitchen
- Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures
- Ensure health and safety standards are met
- Train, evaluate and manage kitchen staff
- Monitor and maintain kitchen inventory and supplies
- Maintain records of food costs and usage
- Ensure quality of food and portion control
- Create menus, determine pricing and daily specials development
- Monitor customer satisfaction
Skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team of kitchen staff
- Ability to develop and maintain a budget
- Ability to create menus and menus costing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
Chef Requirements

Pay: From $39.00 per hour
