- Passion for food preparation a must.
- Previous management experience essential, minimum 3 years
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid working with children’s check.
- Can work unsupervised and also lead a team.
- Valid Australian drivers licence and a car essential.
- NSW Food Safety Supervisor preferred.
About the role
- Working within the school canteen you would be based at one of our seven schools on the North Shore of Sydney. Location negotiable.
- Managing the food and beverage service to a high standard. Managing an experienced team of staff. Fast paced role.
- Management of the rosters, recruitment and stock management.
- Creating menu items for special events.
- Full accountability of the P&L.
- Showing accountability over the results of the canteen. With scope to move to senior canteen manager role for the right candidate which manages the central kitchen and deliveries going to multiple schools.
- Any local travel if required as part of the role is reimbursed.
- Great work life balance for those with night/weekend/family commitments.
- Shifts are Monday to Friday. Can be flexible with days/times available.
- Excellent on the job training provided.
