Ambleside Landscapes is an award‑winning, family‑run landscaping company based in the Adelaide Hills, with over 20 years’ experience delivering high‑quality landscape design, construction and maintenance projects across the Adelaide Hills and metropolitan Adelaide.
We are seeking an experienced Landscaper to join our construction team delivering a diverse range of residential & commercial projects to a consistently high standard.
Candidates with demonstrated leadership experience will have opportunities to mentor apprentices, coordinate site activities and, for the right person, progress into or commence in a Foreman position.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on role, ideally suited to an experienced Landscaper who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys being part of a dedicated, close-knit team. Working alongside Project Supervisors and fellow crew members, you will help deliver high-quality landscape construction projects.
You will have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to complete a wide range of landscaping tasks safely & efficiently.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities
- Complete a diverse range of landscaping works, including:
- Earthworks & base preparation
- Retaining wall construction, fencing & brick/blockwork
- Paving, stonework and concreting
- Lawn & garden bed preparation, turf installation & planting
- Irrigation installation
- Produce high-quality work in accordance with Australian Standards and industry best practice.
- Maintain site safety, ensuring all OHS policies and procedures are followed.
- Provide daily job updates via job software (Tradify) documenting works completed.
- Assist with mentoring & onsite training apprentices and other team members.
Additional responsibilities for the right candidates include site coordination, crew supervision, and project planning.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Certificate lll in Landscape Construction, Horticulture or equivalent construction Experience or qualification
- Minimum 3+ years experience in Landscape Construction
- White Card
- Unrestricted Driver’s License (C Class)
- Strong communication & organisational skills and a problem solving attitude
- High attention to detail & pride in workmanship
- Commitment to workplace health & safety
- a "Team" mindset, strong work ethic and initiative
Desirable skills & qualifications
- Experience leading or supervising small crews
- MR Truck License
- Excavator and Skid-steer tickets, or experience operating machinery and willingness to obtain tickets
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Confidence using technology, including job software and Microsoft office.
