The Role
As a Case Manager, you will investigate and resolve customer enquiries and complaints relating to water and sewer infrastructure. By working collaboratively with customers and stakeholders, you will deliver fair, timely, and balanced outcomes that support Yarra Valley Water's strategic goals, Customer Promise, and the objectives of the Case Management Team.
Your Key Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve customer enquiries and complaints in line with the team's Case Management Principles and Procedures, Investigation Framework, Fair Outcomes Framework, and agreed performance and service standards.

Prepare clear, accurate, and concise reports on completed works, investigations, and service faults.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and external partners to deliver positive customer outcomes.

Collaborate with contractors and key stakeholders to identify complaint trends, investigate root causes, and implement improvements, including addressing systemic issues.

Provide administrative and claims management support as required to ensure the efficient delivery of team objectives and customer service outcomes.
What we’re Looking for
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service or customer-facing environment.
- Proven experience applying best-practice dispute resolution techniques within a service-based setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to quickly establish positive and productive working relationships with customers, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport, demonstrate empathy, and deliver positive customer experiences.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to assess multiple sources of information, evaluate options, and make balanced, evidence-based decisions.
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to identify underlying issues and support mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work confidently in ambiguous or evolving situations, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining sound judgement and a customer-focused approach.
