Foot, Ankle & Body Experts Health Clinic is looking for a Foot Care Assistant / Allied Health Assistant to join our team in Hamilton.
This role would suit someone who is caring, reliable, well-presented and comfortable working with patients in a clinical setting. You will be supporting our podiatry and podiatric medicine team with routine foot care, fungal nail treatment appointments and assistance during more complex appointments with Dr Kim.
Immediate start available. All training will be provided.
About the Role
This is an in-clinic role supporting our podiatry and podiatric medicine services.
Your role may include:
- Carrying out basic nail care appointments under the direction of the podiatry team
- Providing ongoing treatment support for fungal nail care, including continued therapy appointments
- Preparing patients, rooms and equipment for appointments
- Assisting Dr Kim during more complex podiatry and lower limb appointments
- Supporting infection control, instrument cleaning and sterilisation processes
- Helping patients feel comfortable, informed and cared for
- Maintaining accurate notes and communicating with the clinical team when needed
- General clinical support across the podiatry service
Duties will be performed within the appropriate scope of the role, with training and supervision provided.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

- Comfortable working with older patients and people with mobility concerns
- Able to follow clinical procedures and instructions
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Interested in podiatry, allied health or clinical patient care
- Confident communicating with patients and the wider team
- Willing to learn
Previous experience in health care, aged care, disability support, nursing assistance, allied health assistance or clinical reception would be helpful, but is not essential for the right person.
