CASUAL DIGITAL PRINT FINISHER — Casual Ravenhall, VIC | Onsite Parking | $26.45–$35/hr casual + super (junior rates apply for under-21s, adult rates from 21+, based on experience)
Mon–Fri, daytime (between 7.30am and 5pm), ~20+ hours a week. No after-hours or weekend work at this stage.
About the Role
We're a fast-paced short-run print and garment shop, and our finishing line is where jobs cross the line from "printed" to "out the door." We're growing and need extra hands on the tools to keep the work moving and the quality tight.
You'll spend most of your day hands-on in digital finishing — apparel prep, product finishing, packing and dispatch — working to a live production schedule alongside a small, tight crew. Fast, practical, no two days the same.
What You'll Do (Day One)
- Hand folding, taping and assembling finished product
- Assisting with loading stock into our digital printing and finishing equipment
- Packing and dispatching completed jobs to clients
- Keeping the production floor clean, tidy and in order
Where It Grows (Your Path to Owning It)
As you find your feet, you'll step up into:
- Preparing and pressing DTF transfers to apparel
- Bindery work: saddle stitch, collating, punching, wire binding
- Finishing large format, labels and stickers, plus laminating and foiling
- Running our digital die-less cutter, Rotary Die cutter and or Gluer and folder
- Running the finishing line solo to the production schedule, learning machine capabilities and stock range to lift output speed and the breadth of what we can make
About You
You take pride in getting the job done right and out on time.
Required:
- A fast learner with a genuine willingness to pick things up quick
- Punctual and reliable, every shift
- Quick, accurate, and able to work autonomously when needed
- Good time management, comfortable working to a production schedule
- Comfortable on your feet all day and lifting up to ~20kg
- A team player who wants to grow with the business
Highly Regarded:
- Previous print or finishing experience
- Apparel decoration exposure (heat transfer, DTF)
- Manual handling or warehouse/dispatch background
