Working closely with our Project, MEP/Services and site delivery teams, you will help ensure electrical packages are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and in accordance with Australian Standards, project specifications and client requirements.
The position will suit an Electrical or Building Services Engineer who enjoys being close to project delivery, solving technical challenges and working collaboratively with subcontractors, consultants and project teams.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate electrical services throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning and handover.
- Review electrical designs, drawings and technical submissions for compliance, buildability and coordination.
- Manage RFIs, design clarifications and technical queries.
- Coordinate electrical interfaces with mechanical, hydraulic, fire, CSA and other project disciplines.
- Participate in BIM coordination and clash-detection reviews.
- Assist with planning and sequencing electrical installation activities against the project programme.
- Support the management of electrical subcontractors, monitoring performance, quality and progress.
- Assist with procurement of electrical packages and long-lead equipment, including technical review of supplier submissions.
- Monitor installation quality and coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
- Support integrated systems testing, client demonstrations and final project handover.
- Identify technical and delivery risks and work with the wider project team to develop practical solutions.
- Ensure works comply with WHS requirements, Australian Standards, the NCC and TSL's quality and safety systems.
- Build effective relationships with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, commissioning specialists and client representatives.
About You
You will bring:
- A degree in Electrical, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Approximately 3–5+ years' experience delivering electrical services within commercial, industrial or major construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, communications, fire detection and building management systems.
- Good working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
- The ability to confidently interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
- Competency across Microsoft Office and relevant project management systems.
Experience within data centres, mission-critical facilities, advanced manufacturing or other technically complex construction environments would be highly regarded.
