As our workshop continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our team.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a variety of passenger vehicles while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs on a range of motor vehicles
- Inspect vehicles to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
- Repair or replace worn or defective components including engines, steering, suspension, braking systems, transmissions and cooling systems
- Perform engine tuning and mechanical adjustments to optimise vehicle performance
- Conduct road tests before and after repairs to verify faults and ensure repairs have been completed successfully
- Inspect vehicle systems and prepare reports outlining required repairs and maintenance recommendations
- Maintain accurate service records and complete job documentation
- Ensure workshop equipment and tools are used safely and maintained in good working order
- Work collaboratively with other workshop staff to meet service deadlines and maintain high customer satisfaction
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and manufacturer specifications where applicable
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Minimum relevant Cert III and IV required
- At least one year of relevant mechanic experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience servicing a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Ability to interpret workshop manuals and technical information
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A current Australian Driver Licence
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
