The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is seeking to appoint a Director, Industry, Construction and Manufacturing to join its team. This role leads the development and implementation of policy, strategies and initiatives to drive industry development and employment outcomes in Victoria.
The Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent (IDCMT) Branch is responsible for shaping and ensuring the delivery of the Victorian Government's industry development agenda. The branch develops policies and delivers programs that drive sustainable economic growth and workforce inclusion, leading to higher living standards for all Victorians.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent, the Director, Industry, Construction and Manufacturing will oversee the Industry, Construction and Manufacturing unit that works to support the development of Victoria's key industry sectors, with a focus on construction and manufacturing. The Director provides a key interface with industry stakeholders and other government agencies to drive collaboration, innovation and positive industry development outcomes.
The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with knowledge and experience in Victorian Government's economic framework, strategies, programs, policies and approval processes relating to investment and economic growth.
