The Shop (Miriam Vale) is a trusted local grocery store located in Miriam Vale, QLD. We take pride in serving our local community and passing travellers with fresh produce, daily essentials, and friendly customer service 7 days a week.
We are currently looking for an experienced, dynamic, and dedicated full-time Store Manager to oversee daily business operations and lead our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day store operations, opening/closing procedures, and ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and visual merchandising.
- Manage stock ordering, inventory control, waste reduction, and liaise with suppliers to maintain fresh produce and grocery supply.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise store staff, fostering a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards, resolve inquiries promptly, and actively engage with local residents, community groups, local businesses, and government/public institutions.
- Monitor sales performance, assist with basic budgeting and reporting, manage cash reconciliation, and handle daily POS systems.
- Conduct market research to optimize product offerings.
- Create promotional campaigns, including pricing strategies, sponsorship activities to maximize sales.
Requirements
· Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Store Manager in retail or supermarket operations.
· Able to work in cold room
· Strong leadership, team management, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
· Computer literacy and familiarity with POS/inventory management systems.
· Business education background preferred
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
