Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Teacher, teaching subjects of Business and Legal for Year 12 to join the team at Gilson College, Taylors Hill.
This is an ongoing full time position, expected to the experienced educators with leadership experience within a school or college setting, commencement Term 3, 2026.
The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:

Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes

Use critical reflection to improve the knowledge, learning and skills of students

Have experience and ability to work independently and as a leader within a team, developing, establishing, implementing, and monitoring learning and curriculum.

Have experience and ability to provide mentoring and guidance to peers.

Demonstrated leadership abilities and prior experience in a similar leadership role.

Use multiple sources of feedback on their classroom practice to inform their professional learning goals

Show a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning within the school and the wider Seventh-day Adventist school system

Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

Have the capacity to teach the Australian curriculum in the context of the College's Christian-based ethos

Can plan for and lead daily Christian-based class devotions to students

Skills and Qualifications:

Valid VIT Registration and relevant teaching experience

Demonstrated leadership abilities and prior experience in a similar leadership role.

The salary range is $86k-128k based on years of experience.
