Position Overview
The Game Square Ambassador is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of Game Square venues, delivering high-quality customer service, assisting with technical and operational requirements, and supporting events, content, and community engagement initiatives.
This role serves as a frontline representative of Game Square and major global sponsors which plays a key role in ensuring the venue operates efficiently, professionally, and in line with brand and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Venue Operations
- Support the daily operation of the Game Square venue
- Open, close, and monitor the venue during rostered shifts
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation standards across all areas
- Act as the first point of contact for all customers and visitors
- Manage bookings, walk-ins, inquiries, and general customer requests
- Deliver a consistent and professional customer experience
- Assist customers with gaming PCs, consoles, peripherals, and software
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate complex issues where required
- Assist with the setup, operation, and pack-down of events, tournaments, and activations
- Assist with capturing and creating basic content for social media and internal use
- Support community engagement initiatives within the venue
- Assist with general administrative tasks as required
Skills and Experience
- Strong interest in gaming and esports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic technical understanding of gaming hardware and software
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or events
Eligibility & Availability
- Minimum 2 days a week
- Open to current students and graduates from Western Sydney University
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during events as required
