As Senior Regional Recruitment Manager for the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, you will lead VU’s growth strategy across high-priority markets including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka — driving real outcomes, leading a high-performing offshore team and shaping the University’s international future.
Reporting directly to the Director, International, this senior role sits at the heart of VU’s international growth agenda. You will own end-to-end recruitment performance across the MEASA region — building strategy, leading people, managing key agent and partner networks, and translating market intelligence into results.
This is a commercially focused, high-impact position for a leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and execute regional recruitment plans that deliver measurable enrolment growth and meet institutional targets
- Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed team including offshore in-country representatives based in India
- Build and manage a high-performing agent network, maximising return on investment and conversion performance
- Serve as VU’s subject matter expert on the regional education landscape, advising senior leadership on market trends, competitor activity and regulatory shifts
- Drive data-informed decision making, translating market intelligence into actionable recruitment plans
- Manage budgets and financial performance, including forecasting, investment decisions and business case development
- Represent VU at a senior level in international markets and key stakeholder forums
- Ensure full compliance with ESOS, Genuine Student requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks
Position Details:
- Classification: HEP Level 9
- Salary: $132,942 – $138,314 + 17% superannuation
- Employment Type: Full-time, continuing
- Hours per Week : 36.75 hours
- Location: City Campus (3:2 Hybrid)

About You:
You are a senior international education professional with a strong track record in the MEASA region — commercially minded, analytically sharp and genuinely passionate about international student mobility. You know what drives conversion, you understand the region’s nuances and you lead teams with clarity and purpose.
You will also bring:
- Proven success in international student recruitment with demonstrated ability to deliver growth across multiple markets
- Experience leading and developing geographically dispersed, high-performing teams
- Deep knowledge of the MEASA region — its markets, regulatory environment, student motivations and competitive landscape
- Advanced analytical capability to interpret data and translate insights into strategy
- Highly developed influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, including at senior leadership level
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting and making investment decisions
- Postgraduate qualifications and/or equivalent extensive professional experience
