Hydraulic Services Designer

Join our Townsville team. Your primary focus will be the design, documentation, and delivery of compliant building hydraulic services design. You’ll be responsible for preparing hydraulic designs, carrying out calculations, and producing clear, accurate documentation to help deliver projects smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with our team, clients, and other consultants to coordinate drawings and designs, while supporting the overall project from concept through to completion in a collaborative small business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting and designing hydraulic services, including sanitary plumbing and drainage systems, trade waste and pre-treatment systems, and hot/cold water reticulation systems.
- Preparing compliant wet fire protection system design and layouts.
- Collaborate closely with architects, builders, and plumbers to deliver practical hydraulic services solutions.
- Prepare precise technical documentation, layouts, and specifications.
- Apply Australian Standards, National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant authority requirements to ensure compliant hydraulic services design outcomes
Qualifications & Skills
- Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services (or working towards)
- Basic proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or Revit).
- Strong willingness to learn, ask questions, and accept technical guidance.
- Clear communication skills and attention to detail.
Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services (or working towards) Strong understanding of Australian Standards, the NCC and relevant authority requirements. An understanding of CAD and Revit. Hands on experience as a plumber preferred not necessary. Proficiency in industry standard design and software and tools. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and client interaction. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong problem-solving skills to analyse and fix complex system issues. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning. Eligibility to work in Australia is mandatory.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
