About the Role
Due to increased workload across upcoming projects in the South East Region, Contract Resources are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and support current and upcoming works.
This role will see you working closely with operational teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities from planning through to execution, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
We are looking for someone with a strong operational background who can build relationships, lead teams effectively, and proactively manage project performance in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Role Accountabilities include:
- Manage the delivery of projects from planning through to execution and close-out
- Ensure projects are delivered in compliance with HSE, quality, and company standards
- Coordinate labour, equipment, subcontractors, and project resources to meet operational requirements
- Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, and forecasts to ensure commercial targets are achieved
- Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Review project schedules, resource plans, and operational requirements to support efficient execution
- Identify project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Support tendering, project planning, and mobilisation activities for upcoming works
- Provide leadership and direction to supervisors, site personnel, and project teams
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, cost tracking, and performance reporting
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and project delivery
- Support conflict resolution and maintain positive working relationships across teams and stakeholders
Requirements & Experience Needed
- Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in a Project Management or Supervisory role within heavy industry, industrial services, oil & gas, or related sectors
- Strong understanding of project delivery, operational coordination, and commercial performance management
- Demonstrated experience managing projects within budget and schedule requirements
- Experience leading teams in safety-focused, high-performance environments
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Sound understanding of HSE requirements, responsibilities, and compliance standards
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and project management/reporting systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational requirements
- Experience with project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and cost control processes
- Relevant Trade, Technical, Engineering, or Project Management qualification preferred
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
