About the role
As the Ambulatory Services Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Services (STARS) Ambulatory Services, including the Surgical, Gastroenterology, Rehabilitation, and Geriatric Clinics/Day Hospital. Reporting to the Nursing Director, Ambulatory Services, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving performance, innovation and continuous improvement across a complex outpatient environment.

Demonstrate effective leadership in clinical governance, strategic planning, achievement of organisational priorities, patient safety, quality improvement and risk management through integrated performance and accountability frameworks.
Display leadership integrity that promotes engagement and a positive workplace culture that supports implementation of strategic imperatives, and sustainable change management in a dynamic health care environment.
Utilise leadership skills including higher level communication and interpersonal skills in coordinating and liaising with the interprofessional team to establish and enhance professional working relationships.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to facilitate a contemporary and evidence-based approach to the implementation and evaluation of a facility wide patient safety, quality improvement and risk management process and culture.
Provide specialist level knowledge of Queensland Health Specialist Outpatient Policy to ensure all in scope ambulatory outpatient services incorporate Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard (SOSIS).
