The role:
Ready for a fresh start? We're looking for an experienced Concrete Batcher to relocate to Perth, Western Australia and join the team at Swan Materials. This permanent opportunity can be based at either our Armadale or Hazelmere plant.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll batch concrete, coordinate deliveries, take customer orders and support day-to-day plant operations.
Key responsibilities:

Taking customer orders and enquiries via phone and entering them into the batching system

Operating the concrete batching system to produce quality concrete safely and efficiently

Coordinating agitator drivers and delivery schedules throughout the day

Providing customers with delivery updates and managing changes to orders

Monitoring raw material stock levels and ordering materials and additives as required

Completing daily stock checks and supporting plant operations

Assisting with general yard duties, housekeeping and site maintenance when required

Supporting safe site operations and ensuring compliance with company procedures

Operating a front-end loader on occasion to support site operations (when required)
Hours:
Monday to Friday. Start and finish times vary based on demand. You'll also work alternate Saturdays based on operational requirements.

We're looking for someone who can confidently manage a busy operation, communicate well with customers and drivers, and remain calm under pressure.
Essential

Previous concrete batching experience (Command experience highly regarded)

Strong phone-based customer service experience and confidence dealing with customers

Excellent organisational and multitasking skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to assist wherever needed

Commitment to safety and teamwork
Desirable

Front-end loader ticket or experience

Dispatch, scheduling or logistics coordination experience

Forklift licence
