What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Dietitian within the Diabetes Service, you'll provide expert nutritional assessment, education and counselling to adults and adolescents with Type 1 diabetes, complex Type 2 diabetes and diabetes in pregnancy. You'll deliver evidence-based care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes for people living with diabetes.
You will also:
Deliver specialised nutrition assessment, education and ongoing dietary management for people with complex diabetes, including insulin pump therapy.
Partner with endocrinologists, nursing, allied health and external healthcare providers to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
Provide education and clinical guidance to health professionals, students and colleagues while participating in clinical supervision.
Lead and contribute to quality improvement, research and evidence-based practice initiatives that enhance diabetes services.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support continuous service excellence through effective information management.

Qualification: Bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia
