This is a permanent part-time position working 70 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm.
Whether you're an experienced Support Worker ready to take the next step in your career or someone with leadership experience in the disability sector, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills while continuing to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability.
Working alongside the CSS Coordinator, you'll support the day-to-day operations of one of our day programs while providing high-quality, person-centred support. You'll lead by example, coach and support your colleagues, and help create a safe, engaging and positive environment for participants and staff alike.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering person-centred active support in line with individual support plans
- Modelling best-practice Person-Centred Active Support and safeguarding principles
- Coaching and supporting Support Workers to deliver high-quality supports
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the program
- Assisting with rostering, reporting and other administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate participant documentation and governance requirements
- Promoting safe work practices and compliance with NDIS Practice Standards
- Building positive relationships with participants, families and colleagues
- Acting in the CSS Coordinator role during planned and unplanned absences
Skills and Experiences:
About you
You're someone who leads by example, enjoys supporting others and is passionate about delivering high-quality disability services.
You will bring:
- Experience supporting people with disability
- Certificate III in Disability or a related qualification (minimum)
- A genuine commitment to person-centred active support
- Leadership potential with the ability to coach and support colleagues
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confidence using digital systems and maintaining accurate documentation
- A positive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Class C Driver Licence (confidence driving vans and other fleet vehicles highly regarded)
- Current First Aid & CPR
