We’re looking for a Social Media, PR & Communications Manager to join our team and turn our mission into a movement. This isn't a "business as usual" role—we need a visionary leader to make an immediate, measurable impact from Day 1.
About the Role
As our Social Media, PR & Communications Manager you will be the architect of our external voice and the steward of our brand reputation. You’ll work closely with leadership to elevate the My Guardian brand, ensuring our mission resonates with families, healthcare partners, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
Own our Social media and community building operations by engaging in research, planning, publishing, engagement, measurement and refinement of all organic Social Media activities.
Proactively pitch and sell compelling stories to journalists, editors, and media outlets to secure high-impact coverage.
Build, maintain, and nurture strong, long-term relationships and networks with key journalists, ambassadors and industry bodies.
Support the creation of compelling content across our social channels, external PR agencies or media outlets, forums and more.
Act as the escalation point of contact for sensitive issues, ensuring our reputation remains untarnished.
Launch PR-led campaigns that drive brand awareness and support our growth objectives.
Investigate and engage appropriate PR & Social Media tooling to facilitate efficiencies in our processes and elevate our capacity.
Report on Social Media and external PR distribution results and provide insightful feedback to our teams.
About You
Expert Social Media practitioner with breadth and depth of skills across main channels such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Youtube.
Proactive communicator who thrives on variety and deeply understands the unique nuances of communication style.
Data-driven approach to content—you don’t just "post to post," you have a plan, track the data, and pivot when necessary.
A proven ability to leverage creative storytelling to maximise content pitch success and social media engagement.
Enjoy networking and representing My Guardian at industry events with poise and enthusiasm, leveraging a strong, existing network of media contacts.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of deliverable standards and excellence.
5+ years of experience in PR or Corporate Communications.
Highly preferable if you have industry-relevant experience (experience in healthcare or aged care is a massive plus).
