HelloDR Toogoolawah is a trusted healthcare provider committed to enhancing the health and well-being of our patients. Located in the heart of Toogoolawah, our clinic offers a range of general medical services to meet the diverse needs of our patients. We provide GP consultations, bulk billing (eligibility criteria may apply) and onsite audiology services.
We're a growing, community-focused, genuine small-town family medicine, where staff and patients know each other by name. With a strong emphasis on patient-centered care, our team of healthcare professionals works collaboratively to create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
The HelloDR Toogoolawah operates during the following hours:
- Monday - Wednesday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
- Thursday - Friday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Saturday & Sunday - Closed
The Role
At HelloDR Toogoolawah, our Enrolled Nurses are more than support staff they're often the familiar face patients see before and after their GP consultation, during vaccinations, or while navigating a new diagnosis. As an integral part of our close-knit family practice, you'll work under the supervision of our GPs, delivering hands-on, compassionate clinical care to the Toogoolawah and Brisbane Valley community.
Every day offers variety, from assisting with GP consultations and minor procedures to supporting chronic disease management, immunisation clinics, and preventive health initiatives. Working collaboratively with our GPs and allied health professionals, you'll help create a welcoming, supportive experience for every patient while providing high-quality, personalised care that makes a genuine difference to the health and wellbeing of our local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with general practitioners and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Support patient preparation and monitoring before and after minor procedures
- Take vital signs, update patient records and assist with chronic disease reviews
- Help maintain stock, equipment sterilisation and cold chain compliance
- Provide a warm, reassuring presence for patients of all ages, from young families to older residents
- Administering medications and treatments in line with best practice guidelines.
- Supporting patient education and ensuring they have access to relevant health resources.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records while adhering to strict confidentiality standards.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Certificate IV or Diploma of Nursing
- A genuinely caring, community-minded approach to patient care
- Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably within general practice or community health.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using medical software and technology (e.g., Best Practice).
- A commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
