Position Overview
The Logistics Systems Specialist (IT) will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing logistics software systems, transportation management platforms, and operational technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with logistics, operations, and IT teams to improve system performance, streamline business processes, and ensure reliable technology services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support logistics, dispatch, and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot application, integration, and database issues.
- Configure, maintain, and upgrade logistics software and related technologies.
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify process improvements and technology solutions.
- Analyze system requirements and assist with the implementation of new software solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to end users across logistics and dispatch departments.
- Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with company standards.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and operational analytics to support business decision-making.
- Coordinate with software vendors and external service providers when required.
- Maintain technical documentation, user guides, and support procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting business applications, logistics systems, or enterprise software solutions.
- Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or supply chain software.
- Experience with SQL databases, system integrations, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and logistics technology platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within logistics, transportation, freight, or supply chain industries.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and SaaS applications.
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence solutions.
- Experience with API integrations and workflow automation.
- Relevant IT certifications are considered advantageous.
