By Design Physiotherapy is a strength‑first private practice with a fully private commercial gym in Hobart. We help everyday people move better, get strong, and go from pain to performance on the gym floor, not just the plinth.
We’re looking for a high‑drive new graduate or early career physio who wants to fast‑track to a true Senior role, not coast through their first few years.
Why Start Your Career Here
Most new grads spend years doing low‑value work for average pay and slow progression. We’re offering:
- Fast‑track pathway: Clear 12–24 month path from New Grad to Senior
- Same earning potential as seniors once you hit a full caseload
- Structured mentorship so you actually get better, fast
- Strength‑forward model in a premium gym, not a conveyor‑belt clinic
If you want to be treated like a professional and pushed to grow, this is it.
The Role
You’ll:
- Deliver 1:1 physio sessions and coach confidently on the gym floor
- Take clients from pain to performance with strength‑based rehab
- Build and progress clear plans, with support from senior physios
- Grow your caseload over your first 6–12 months toward a full book
- Take on more responsibility (mentoring, projects, leadership) as you progress
Full‑time, Monday to Friday. No weekends, no late‑night grind. It’s busy, but sane, and a good time!
What You Get
- Compensation: Competitive new‑grad base + super, with the same bonus structure as seniors so that at full caseload your total earnings match our senior physios
- Development: Weekly mentorship, case reviews, in‑house PD, plus an annual PD budget
- Environment: 400sqm premium private gym, clear systems and treatment pathways
- Roster: 38‑hour week, flexible start/finish times
- Perks: Free onsite gym membership, birthday leave, team events, high‑standards culture
Your Fast‑Track Pathway
- 0–3 months: Onboarding, shadowing, supported consults, building foundation skills
- 3–12 months: Growing caseload, increasing independence, hitting key clinical and billing milestones
- 12–24 months: Full caseload (45+ clients/week), Senior‑level earnings, mentoring newer grads, contributing to clinical standards
We’ll show you the exact milestones and numbers so you know what “on track” looks like.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…
- Are a 2026 new grad (or 0–2 years out) with/eligible for AHPRA registration
- Love the idea of coaching in a gym, not just ticking boxes in a treatment room
- Want honest feedback, clear expectations, and to be held to a high standard
- Are excited by a full, busy caseload, not intimidated by it
- Care about real outcomes and enjoy working with everyday people who want to get strong
This Is Not For You If…
- You want to “take it easy for a few years” post‑grad
- You’re not interested in strength training or being on the gym floor
- You don’t want to be measured, mentored, and pushed to grow
