About the role:
Reporting to the Director, Health Protection Programs, the Senior Manager Immunisation is responsible for the leadership, strategic planning and operational oversight of immunisation policy and program development and implementation in Victoria.
The position is responsible for leading a team of highly specialised professionals that oversee and promote high standards of immunisation service delivery and developing strategies to increase immunisation coverage in the community, in collaboration with key stakeholders.
The position is required to build and maintain effective working relationships across the department and with key external stakeholders both in Victoria and nationally, to ensure high standards of immunisation programs development and implementation, as well as development of immunisation policy as part of the broader public health response to communicable diseases in Victoria.
The position operates in a complex and dynamic environment. It requires sound judgement, the ability to authoritatively plan and manage, to develop and support capacity and capability, and to ensure the work of the Immunisation Program meets the strategic priorities of the branch and department.

About you:
Qualifications / Specialist Expertise:

A relevant tertiary qualification in health and/or registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is desirable.

Postgraduate qualification in Public Health is highly desirable.

Demonstrable experience in the development and delivery of immunisation policy, planning and program delivery.

Demonstrable specialist knowledge of immunisation, including legislative, regulatory, policy, programmatic and clinical issues at both state and national level.

Demonstrable senior leadership experience managing a team in a government department or similar agency.
