A Qualified Carpenter is a tradesperson who has completed a recognized carpentry qualification (such as a Certificate III in Carpentry in Australia) and can work independently on residential, commercial, or civil construction projects.
Typical job duties include:
Reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans.
Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber and other building materials.
Constructing wall frames, floors, roofs, doors, windows, and staircases.
Installing fixtures, cladding, skirting, and other finishing work.
Repairing and maintaining timber structures.
Using hand tools and power tools safely.
Following workplace health and safety requirements.
Working with builders, site supervisors, and other trades.
Pay: $7,700.00 – $10,000.00 per month
