Your new role:
As an Administration Officer within the Specialist Outpatients Department, you'll play a key role in supporting patients, clinicians and visitors by delivering high-quality administrative services across a busy healthcare environment, including:
Providing professional administrative support to multidisciplinary teams
Managing patient appointments, waitlists, bookings and cancellations
Processing referrals and maintaining accurate patient records and data entry
Supporting patient check-in/check-out processes using ESM and other Queensland Health systems
Assisting with Phone Hub enquiries and facilitating smooth service delivery
Maintaining confidentiality while delivering compassionate, patient-focused service
Working flexibly across multiple clinic locations and rostered hours where required
About you:
You are an organised and adaptable administration professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing excellent customer service, with:
Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach
Experience managing competing priorities and working autonomously
Advanced computer skills across Microsoft Office and healthcare information systems
Knowledge or experience using systems such as HBCIS, SRWS, ieMR, PowerChart and ESM highly regarded
A strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality and quality processes
Experience within a Specialist Outpatients or healthcare setting highly regarded
Knowledge of medical terminology desirable
