The Western Region Delivery Team is a Joint Venture between Abergeldie, Fulton Hogan, Stantec, Atlas and Programmed, working in partnership with Sydney Water to deliver one of Australia’s largest infrastructure programs.
Operating as one integrated team, we bring together the expertise and capability of five industry-leading organisations and a workforce of circa 800 people.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Joint Venture Lead, you’ll lead the People and Culture function across the Joint Venture, partnering with leaders to strengthen organisational capability, shape culture and support business performance.
Working across five parent organisations, you'll influence leaders, build strong relationships and create a consistent approach to people that enables the Joint Venture to operate as one team. Key responsibilities include:
Develop and deliver the Joint Venture’s People and Culture strategy.
Partner with leaders to strengthen organisational capability, leadership effectiveness and team performance.
Provide advice on workforce planning, organisational design, succession, talent and employee engagement.
Lead organisational change initiatives and support leaders to successfully navigate change.
Establish effective people governance while maintaining alignment across the five Joint Venture partners.
Use workforce insights to inform decision-making and strengthen organisational capability.
Champion an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing workplace.
What you’ll bring to the team
You are a trusted adviser who builds credibility quickly, works well with leaders and knows how to navigate complexity without overcomplicating it. You can balance competing priorities, create alignment and translate people strategy into practical business outcomes. You will bring:
Significant experience in senior People and Culture, Human Resources or Organisational Development roles within large or complex organisations.
Experience working across joint ventures, alliances, matrix organisations or similarly complex environments.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders across a broad range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated success supporting organisational change, leadership capability and culture initiatives.
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance people outcomes and business priorities.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline.
