Disability Support Worker – Complex Care | Plumpton NSW
Ausnew Support Services is seeking an experienced and reliable Disability Support Worker to support an adult male participant in Plumpton.
The participant is a wheelchair user with complex physical support needs, including diabetes, urinary catheter care, mobility assistance and regular dialysis.
Support Hours
* Morning: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
* Evening: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
* Inactive Night: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Applicants should have flexibility to work across these shifts, including weekends.
Key Support Needs
* Personal care and daily living assistance
* Wheelchair mobility and transfers
* Urinary catheter care and monitoring
* Diabetes/BGL monitoring and insulin-related support
* Medication assistance within training and scope
* Skin integrity and pressure-area monitoring
* Meal preparation and household support
* Community access and medical/dialysis appointments
* Accurate progress notes and documentation
Requirements
* Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or equivalent
* Previous complex care/disability support experience
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Valid Full Australian driver’s licence
* Good communication and documentation skills
* Experience with catheter care, diabetes, wheelchair transfers and medication support is highly desirable
We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient, respectful and confident working independently, while promoting the participant’s dignity, independence and choice.
