The Fleet Controller - AM position at SCT Group, located in WA Forrestfield within the Dry Transport (WA) department, is an integral role within the Logistics, Supply & Transport category. This is a Permanent - Full Time position that offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team. As the Fleet Controller - AM, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our transport fleet. Your main tasks will include:
- Coordinate fleet and driver movements to meet delivery schedules.
- Adjust vehicle schedules in response to delays, breakdowns, or urgent requests.
- Brief drivers and provide necessary information for safe and efficient routes.
- Optimise routes in collaboration with planning teams to reduce empty kilometres.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, depots, warehouses, and customers.
- Record and report delays, incidents, and operational issues promptly.
- Monitor fleet utilisation and availability to ensure efficient resource deployment.
- Schedule and follow up on vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain accurate fleet, compliance, and maintenance records.
- Ensure drivers and contractors comply with safety and legal requirements.
- Support investigations of incidents, near misses, and breaches.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across operations.
- Assist with audits and reporting on compliance and service delivery.
