Nepean Hospital is seeking a motivated and customer focused Administration Officer to join our Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine & PET Department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team supporting the delivery of vital diagnostic and therapeutic services to our community.
As the first point of contact for patients, visitors and referrers, you will play an integral role in ensuring the efficient operation of the department while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Administration Officer provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support across Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and PET services. Responsibilities include patient registration, appointment scheduling, reception duties, data entry, management of referrals, medical records administration and liaison with patients, clinicians and external providers.

What you will bring to the role

Demonstrated experienced in administrative / reception and booking duties including effective customer service skills and demonstrated experience in a hospital or healthcare administrative role, preferably within Medical Imaging or Surgical Services, Familiarity with medical terminology and scheduling processes

Demonstrated excellent organisational and problem-solving techniques with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

Possess a positive attitude and sound work ethic whilst adapting to changing work environments

Demonstrated ability to show initiative and use sound judgment and work collaboratively and as part of a team as well as independently.

Highly developed communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to interact with people at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidently, and knowing when to escalate matters of importance and urgency. Possess a positive attitude and sound work ethic whilst adapting to changing work environments

Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
