An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacists - Senior (Mental Health and Specialist Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Independently apply professional knowledge and skills to deliver high level clinical pharmacy services
Participate in collaborative pharmacist medication prescribing
Apply sound professional judgement to complex caseloads
Deliver high level clinical review services as part of a multidisciplinary team
Develop and deliver presentations and educational materials with specialised contents
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
AHPRA Registration
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Driver Licence
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Temporary full time and temporary part time (several positions, up to 6 months with the possibility for extension, hours negotiable)
Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour or $4 912.70 - $5 286.40 per fortnight
About Us
The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast HHS, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Tugun Satellite Health Centre, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, Southport and Robina Health Precincts, Numinbah Correctional Centre, Interim care facilities, as well as various community clinics and dental services. The Pharmacy service provides:
Clinical pharmacy review
Dispensing
Manufacturing and compounding
Distribution services
Inventory and warehousing
Education
Support for research and clinical trials
Our team of over 130 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Pharmacists are assisted in their roles by over 50 support persons comprising pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, administration officers, purchasing and stores personnel. The dispensaries at each of the two main hospital campuses are also equipped with automated dispensing Robots to facilitate dispensing, distribution, and inventory management activities.
In addition, the Pharmacy service provides professional support to Ambulatory Consultant Pharmacists working in various community settings.
