Chipmunks by the Park Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built, architecturally designed 76-place service in the heart of Blackett. Due to open in July 2026. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leaders to join our dedicated team of educators and drive excellence in early childhood education and care.
About the Role:
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position. We are seeking a passionate Room Leader to join our team. In this role, you will lead a learning environment that fosters children's curiosity, creativity, and development while supporting educators and building strong relationships with families.
Working collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team and Educational Leaders, you will help deliver high-quality, child-led learning experiences that reflect our Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of your designated room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for all children.
- Mentor, support, and guide educators within the room to deliver high-quality educational programs and practices.
- Implement and evaluate learning experiences that are responsive to children's interests, strengths, and developmental needs.
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and centre policies and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement and innovative teaching practices.
- Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community.
- Maintain accurate observations, documentation, and records to support children's learning and development.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and aesthetically engaging environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to support centre goals, quality outcomes, and a positive team culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)..
- Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and early childhood regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative, people-focused approach.
- Exceptional communication and time management abilities.
- Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, and Child Protection training.
- A commitment to quality, innovation, and creating meaningful early learning experiences.
