Childcare Cook (Casual)
We are seeking a reliable and passionate Cook to join our childcare centre team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0–6 years while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised kitchen environment.
This is a casual position offering regular weekday hours within a supportive early learning environment.
About the Role
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0–6 years
- Cater for allergy, cultural, religious and dietary requirements
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Manage stock rotation and kitchen organisation
- Work collaboratively with educators and management to support children's wellbeing
- Ensure compliance with food safety and centre policies
- Monday-Friday work hours
Essential Requirements
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Willingness to obtain a Food Handling Certificate
- Preferred: Studying or Cert III Educator
Pay Rate
$31.00 – $33.00 per hour
