Junior General Hand — Coast Marine Covers, The Boat Works (Coomera)
Coast Marine Covers is a Gold Coast marine trimming business based at The Boat Works, Coomera, specializing in custom marine covers, flybridge clears, upholstery, carpets, linings and stainless framework for private boat owners across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW.
We're looking for a junior/general hand to join our team.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting experienced trimmers with day-to-day workshop tasks — prepping materials, general labour, keeping the workshop running smoothly
- Picking up hands-on skills like pattern-making, sewing, upholstery and clear-fitting as you go
- Getting exposure to a huge variety of work, from custom flybridge clears to full interior re-trims — no two jobs are the same
- Based at one of the Gold Coast's busiest marine precincts, working on vessels ranging from family runabouts to superyachts
What we're looking for:
- Someone reliable, hands-on, and willing to learn
- Good attention to detail and pride in quality work
- No experience necessary - we'll train you on the job
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- A genuine interest in boats, the marine industry, or trade work generally is a big plus
- Junior candidates welcome — school leavers and those early in their career encouraged to apply.
