Flooring & Shelving Business | Casual → Permanent Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable, motivated and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our growing flooring and shelving business.
This position will initially be offered on a casual basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to in-store customers and assist with product enquiries
- Provide basic product information and prepare customer orders
- Manage and process online orders
- Check and confirm customer payments
- Prepare and issue invoices and sales documentation
- Answer phone and online customer enquiries
- Coordinate customer pickups and order collections
- Assist with general showroom and warehouse duties
- Forklift operation, including loading and unloading stock
- Assist with stock receiving, checking and organisation
- Maintain a clean and organised showroom and warehouse
What We’re Looking For
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills and confidence using online systems
- Good attention to detail when handling orders, payments and invoices
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in both a retail showroom and warehouse environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift licence preferred
- Previous retail, flooring, shelving, building materials or warehouse experience would be an advantage
