Truck Driver / Trade Assistant – Forklift Industry
$35–$42 per hour + super | Gold Coast | Full-time
Revolution Forklifts is looking for a reliable, mechanically minded Truck Driver / Trade Assistant to join our team on the Gold Coast.
This is not just a driving role.
You’ll be responsible for delivering and collecting forklifts and equipment using our tilt tray, recovering breakdown and non-running machines, and taking ownership of the truck and transport equipment.
When you’re not on the road, you’ll work alongside our technicians assisting with forklift preparation, servicing, repairs, yard duties and general workshop tasks.
This role would suit someone who enjoys machinery, wants variety in their day, and is keen to learn more than simply driving a truck.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver and collect forklifts and equipment using our tilt tray
- Recover breakdown and non-running machines when required
- Safely load, restrain and unload equipment
- Complete daily truck pre-starts and basic inspections
- Keep the truck clean, greased and properly maintained
- Maintain chains, straps, recovery gear and transport equipment
- Assist with forklift washing, preparation and yard movements
- Assist technicians with servicing, repairs and general workshop tasks
- Complete parts runs and general logistics duties
- Help keep the yard and workshop organised
- Take ownership of the transport function and ensure equipment is ready when required
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a current MR or HR truck licence
- Has a good driving history
- Is reliable and turns up when they say they will
- Takes safety seriously
- Is comfortable dealing directly with customers
- Is mechanically minded or genuinely interested in machinery
- Is physically capable of general yard and trade-assistant work
- Is willing to learn equipment loading and restraint where required
- Is happy to get out of the cab and help wherever needed
- Takes pride in looking after vehicles, tools and equipment
- Has Australian working rights
Tilt-tray experience, forklift experience, a forklift licence or previous mechanical/trade-assistant experience would all be highly regarded, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important to us than ticking every box.
