As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents. Reporting to the Chef Manager, you will assist with the preparation and presentation of meals, ensure food safety standards are met, and contribute to the overall hospitality experience within the home.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Assist with meal preparation, plating, and presentation.

Serve meals and beverages to residents in a friendly and respectful manner.

Assist residents during meal service where appropriate.

Prepare and deliver morning tea, afternoon tea, and supper.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.

Wash dishes and kitchen equipment.

Follow food safety, infection control, and hygiene procedures.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Passion for working in aged care.

Food Safety Certificate.

Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

Current Police Check.
Desirable Skills & Experience:

Certificate in Cookery or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of experience in aged care or healthcare food services

Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, Food Safety, OH&S, and AN-ACC requirements
