About your role
As a Staff Specialist in Anaesthetics, you'll provide high-quality specialist anaesthetic care to patients at Redland Hospital while contributing to a supportive, multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Provide specialist anaesthetic care across a diverse range of surgical and procedural specialties, including obstetrics, orthopaedics, general surgery and acute pain.
Participate in the anaesthetic roster, providing 24-hour clinical coverage and supporting safe, high-quality patient care.
Assess and manage patients through the Pre-Assessment Clinic and contribute to pain management activities.
Supervise, teach and mentor Registrars, Principal House Officers, Interns and other medical staff.
About you
You're a specialist anaesthetist who combines strong clinical capability with a commitment to patient-centred care, education and teamwork.
Fellowship of ANZCA or an equivalent qualification acceptable for specialist registration in Australia.
Demonstrated competence in adult anaesthesia across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedural settings.
Strong clinical skills in obstetric anaesthesia, with paediatric anaesthesia experience and recency of practice.
Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to supervising and developing others.
Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, professional development and continuous quality improvement.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
