About the role
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista/Café All Rounder to join the Gobake team in Shailer Park, QLD. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst being part of a vibrant hospitality environment. As a Barista/Café All Rounder, you will be the friendly face of our café, delivering exceptional customer service and crafting quality beverages and food offerings. Your role is pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, with precision and consistency
- Take customer orders efficiently and accurately, both at the counter and via till systems
- Maintain a clean and hygienic café environment, including equipment, work surfaces and seating areas
- Provide friendly, professional and attentive customer service to all patrons
- Assist with food preparation and presentation where required
- Stock and manage café supplies and inventory
- Operate café equipment competently, including espresso machines, grinders and milk steamers
- Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive work culture
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a café, barista role or hospitality environment is preferred
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and ability to craft quality beverages
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Flexibility with shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Team player mentality with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions
- Food safety and hygiene certification is advantageous
