Job Description
We are seeking a Group Therapist to join our Allied Health Mental Health Team at Berkeley Vale Private Hospital. In this role you will be facilitating our Group Psychoeducation programs as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will need to have demonstrated confidence in group facilitation and the ability to engage patients across age groups and a variety of mental health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, personality disorders and trauma-related disorders.
Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
About You:
You will have the ability to plan and organise skills groups, along with a commitment to excellence in the delivery of healthcare services to patients seeking mental health treatment. To succeed in this role, you will be a motivated and flexible team player with a high degree of professionalism.
You will need to demonstrate:

Accredited undergraduate degree in Psychology, APHRA registered and unrestricted general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia or equivalent mental health care professional registration such as Mental Health Social Worker or Occupational therapist.

Training and experience facilitating group therapy using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to be self-motivated and function autonomously whilst also being able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Ability to facilitate and deliver skill group content with creativity and flexibility

Able to plan, organise and prioritise workload in a complex therapeutic environment

Familiar with Microsoft Suite
