About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Production Administration Support Officer to join our Welshpool team.
This is a pivotal role that sits at the heart of the site, providing administrative support across Production, Operations and other key functions. As the person who keeps information flowing, supports day-to-day operations and helps connect teams across the business, you will quickly become the go-to person on site.
No two days are the same. From reception and purchasing to recruitment support, inventory administration and event coordination, you'll enjoy a varied role with plenty of opportunity to learn, contribute and make a real impact. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building relationships and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
-
Act as the first point of contact for the site, managing reception, visitors, incoming calls and enquiries.
-
Receive and distribute mail, courier deliveries and site correspondence.
-
Maintain office supplies, kitchen consumables, uniforms and PPE stock levels.
-
Prepare reports, correspondence and administrative documentation.
-
Support site communications and maintain accurate filing and record management systems.
-
Coordinate site events, including team-building activities, open days and employee functions.
-
Provide administrative support across Production, Operations and other departments.
-
Process supplier invoices and purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
-
Support recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, medical bookings, onboarding documentation and inductions.
-
Assist with inventory administration, cycle counts, stocktakes and stock record maintenance.
-
Verify incoming goods and maintain dispatch and receiving records.
-
Coordinate transport and courier bookings to support efficient site operations.
-
Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and legislative requirements.
-
Support GMP, HACCP, safety, quality and housekeeping standards across the site.
-
Maintain a professional, organised and welcoming office environment.
About You
-
You are an organised, approachable and hands-on administrator who enjoys being at the centre of a busy operation. Naturally resourceful and dependable, you're the person people turn to for support, information and solutions.
-
You have previous experience in administration and/or customer service and are confident building relationships with people at all levels of the business. You can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively and maintain attention to detail in a fast-moving environment.
-
Experience in a manufacturing environment will be highly regarded, but just as important is your attitude. You are curious, adaptable and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in broadening your skills across business operations.
-
You are comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word, and can quickly learn new systems and processes. Experience with SAP is advantageous but not essential.
-
Safety matters to you. You lead by example, consistently demonstrating safe work practices and contributing positively to the site safety culture.
-
Most importantly, you are someone who can be trusted. You handle confidential information with discretion, take ownership of your responsibilities and enjoy being the person who helps keep the business running smoothly.
