Health Information Scanning Team Lead

About the role
We are seeking to fill a full time position for the Health Information Scanning Team Lead. The right candidate will posses excellent customer service skills, teamwork, attention to detail and taking the lead in scanning and indexing documents, accurate data entry and retrieval, attention to detail, tracking and follow-up of missing or incomplete records, meeting deadlines, and respect for patient privacy & confidentiality.
This role with involve data entry and retrieval, scanning and indexing documents, tracking and follow-up of missing or incomplete records, maintaining and meeting deadlines, respect for patient privacy & confidentiality. Answer phone calls/requests, Complete fax requests, mark in discharge paperwork, help consumers who present to reception, prepare paperwork for scanning, scan prepared paperwork, quality check scanned paperwork, validate quality checked paperwork, audit validated paperwork and attend to other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Our work hours are generally 08:00-16:30. Working hours flexible within reason and one roster day off every month for full time employee.
We offer on the job training complemented by My Health Learning online courses. Mentoring by the Health Information Manager and performance development based on agreed objectives and regular performance reviews.
The successful applicant will work within a small team of 10 including, Health Information Clerks, Medicolegal Officer, Ward & Outpatient clerks, Data Integrity Managers, Clinical Coders, and Health Information Manager.
