About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. The successful applicant will work closely with our general practitioners and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, effective and patient-centred nursing care within a busy general-practice environment.

· Relevant nursing experience in general practice, outpatient care, community health, acute care or a comparable clinical environment.
· Demonstrated experience in patient assessment, clinical triage, wound care, medication administration and vaccinations.
· Knowledge of chronic disease management and preventive healthcare.
· Current Basic Life Support or CPR certification.
· Strong clinical documentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to accepted professional nursing practices and standards.
· Conduct patient observations, health assessments and clinical triage.
· Work in consultation with general practitioners, other health professionals and members of the healthcare team, and coordinate patient care, follow-up treatment, recalls and referrals.
· Provide clinical interventions, treatments and therapies, including administering medications as authorised, and monitor patients’ responses to treatment and care plans.
· Administer childhood, adult, travel and government-funded vaccinations within the Registered Nurse’s scope of practice.
· Assist general practitioners with minor surgical procedures, wound suturing, skin excisions, biopsies, cryotherapy and other clinical procedures.
· Perform wound assessment, dressing changes, venepuncture, specimen collection, ECGs and other diagnostic procedures.
· Support chronic disease management, health assessments and GP management plans.
· Promote health and assist in preventing illness through health education, screening and health-promotion activities.
· Answer questions and provide appropriate information to patients and their families about treatment, medication and continuing care.
· Maintain accurate, confidential and timely clinical records and comply with infection-control, privacy, clinical governance and workplace safety requirements.
· Maintain treatment rooms, clinical equipment, vaccines and medical supplies.
· Supervise and coordinate the work of enrolled nurses and other healthcare workers where required.
· Participate in clinical quality-improvement and practice-accreditation activities.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor of Nursing or an equivalent recognised nursing qualification.
· Current general registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia through AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain with general practitioners and other healthcare professionals.
· Commitment to patient safety, privacy, infection control and culturally appropriate care.
Desirable Attributes
· Previous experience working as a practice nurse in an general-practice or outpatient services environment.
· Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
· Experience assisting with minor surgical or skin procedures.
· Experience using electronic patient-record and practice-management systems.
· Experience coordinating recalls, health assessments and chronic disease care plans.
Salary and Employment Conditions
The proposed annual base salary is $80,000–$85,000 plus superannuation, depending on the successful applicant’s qualifications and relevant experience. Final salary and employment conditions will comply with applicable workplace laws, award requirements, the Annual Market Salary Rate and any applicable employer-sponsored visa requirements.
