The Role
The Macquarie University HealthPhysiotherapy Outpatient department is seeking a Physiotherapists to work in a dynamic, MDT, and collaborative clinic environment. This exciting position is available for part time hours (flexible on FTE for new recruit).
Who are we:
We are co-located with Macquarie University Hospital and treat a variety of sports, musculoskeletal, men’s and women’s health and orthopaedic rehabilitation. We work closely with surgical teams including shoulder and elbow, Limb reconstruction, Spine specialist, urologist and the orthopaedic institute. We provide services within the community such as rehab in the home, and workplace support at local medical facilities.
We work in an MDT clinic environment with experienced physiotherapists who teach into the Macquarie University Doctor of Physiotherapy Program. We pride ourselves with our evidence-based approach to physiotherapy, and work as a team to share knowledge to help each other grow and provide both internal and external CPD and journal clubs.
There are exciting opportunities for the right candidate to enhance their teaching skills through student placements and involvement in the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at Macquarie University. Our clinic operates in an open, collaborative environment, offering full administrative support and time.
Additionally, we have a well-equipped patient gym, including an anti-gravity treadmill, and are conveniently located next to orthopedic suites and a GP practice.
About You
You will be a passionate, professional, AHPRA-registered physiotherapist, committed to the provision of patient-centred and evidence-based care.
You will have had experience and independence in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including post operative rehabilitation, shoulder injuries and have strong exercise prescription skills. You’ll have experience in building and maintaining a client base and be able to work well individually and in a team environment. Having skills with complex MSK conditions, spine pain and/or experience with pelvic health is highly desirable. With our integrated models of care at Macquarie University Health there are some travel requirements within workhours. You will be a good culture fit to the Macquarie University Health values and team.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1–2-page Cover Letter.
Tertiary qualification in physiotherapy and general registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia/AHPRA.
Demonstrated experience in the provision of physiotherapy services in a musculoskeletal outpatient setting.
Demonstrated sound verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and empathise with patients.
Commitment to the clinical supervision, education and training of physiotherapy staff and students.
Knowledge of, and commitment to, patient-centred and evidence-based care.
Ability to prioritise and manage workloads within established routines, methods and procedures.
Capacity for creativity and innovation in service development, delivery and improvement.
Commitment to uphold and be a steward of the Mission, Vision and Values of Macquarie University Health.
