About the role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our vibrant team at Little Genius Academy in Concord. You’ll lead and inspire your room’s educators, champion high-quality practice, and create a warm, stimulating environment where every child feels valued and supported.
You’ll also ensure our daily operations meet all relevant standards and regulations while working closely with families and colleagues to deliver the best possible outcomes for children.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the day-to-day operations of your room, ensuring smooth routines, high standards of care, and a welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
- Making sure all practices align with relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards.
- Designing and delivering engaging educational programs that nurture each child’s learning and development.
- Building positive, collaborative relationships with families, colleagues, and the wider community.
- Providing guidance, mentoring, and ongoing support to your fellow educators to help them grow professionally.
- Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and helping refine the centre’s programs and practices.
What we're looking for
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Minimum Diploma level qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year's experience as a room leader or in a similar leadership role within the childcare sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and stakeholders
- Thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, and all relevant childcare regulations and legislation
- Passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care and education
- Proven track record of implementing innovative educational programs and initiatives
- Australian work rights are required for this position
- A valid Working with Children Check is required before commencement

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
