Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

The Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in Victoria and comprises the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division. The Court deals with major criminal and civil matters, plus appeals against decisions of lower courts.

A key operational leadership opportunity in a specialist jurisdiction
The Supreme Court of Victoria is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join the Probate Office as Senior Probate Officer.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the day-to-day operations of the Probate Office client services function, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and accessible services to court users in the Court's highest-volume jurisdiction.
About the role
- Lead and manage a team delivering client services via telephone, email and counter channels, ensuring high standards of accuracy, responsiveness and service quality.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Probate Office client services function, including workflow management, resource allocation and administrative processes supporting probate applications.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational issues and implementing process enhancements, and contribute to the testing and rollout of system improvements, including RedCrest-Probate.
About you
- An individual with experience working in a client-focused, high-volume environment, with the capability to support and guide staff and contribute to effective team performance.
- Strong judgement and attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in procedural advice and administrative processes.
- A proactive and practical problem-solver with experience identifying process improvements and contributing to operational or system change initiatives.
