Colmar is seeking a CNC milling machinist with at least 5 years’ experience. We are looking for an individual that can work in a dynamic, jobbing environment and can work effectively with a team and independently.
About the Role
· Setting up, programming and optimising CNC milling machines.
· Have knowledge of engineering processes and materials.
· Practical experience to produce high quality precision parts efficiently.
· Knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controllers would be an advantage.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
· Thoroughly read and follow engineering drawings and production documentation.
· Plan processes in compliance with drawings, relevant Australian standards, and other production or testing requirements.
· Ensure safe and proper setup and use of equipment, adhering to all safety protocols.
· Conduct first-piece inspections and subsequent inspections as per Colmar SOP and customer/Australian standard requirements.
· Produce high-quality parts according to specified drawings and production documentation.
· Inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
· Safely pack, identify, and move finished parts to the next process/location.
· Monitor consumables stock for the machine and initiate purchases as needed.
· Maintain machine, tools, and equipment in good working condition, requesting maintenance when necessary.
· Perform simple maintenance and repairs as required, keeping the work area clean and organized.
· Physical fitness is essential, as the role may involve moving heavy loads.
· Previous experience in crane operation is advantageous.

Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
