Casual Electrical Estimator (Remote)

Urban Charge Electrical is a growing commercial electrical contracting company based in Melbourne, delivering projects across schools, warehouses, retail, commercial fit-outs, healthcare facilities, and industrial developments.
We are seeking an experienced Casual Electrical Estimator to assist us with tendering and pricing commercial electrical projects. This is a remote position offering flexible hours, making it ideal for someone looking to supplement their current workload or work around other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Performing quantity take-offs from plans and drawings
- Pricing commercial electrical projects and fit-outs
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Typing and formatting professional quotations
- Assisting with tender documentation and project submissions
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing and quotations
- Identifying value engineering opportunities where applicable
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience estimating commercial electrical projects
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methods and materials
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Experience with plan take-off software and estimating platforms
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tender deadlines
- Electrical trade background highly regarded
