We Frame It is setting up a new light gauge steel framing facility in Sunshine, part of a partnership with a major Victorian manufacturer producing an innovative, leading-edge panelised wall system.
We're looking for a switched-on production lead to help run the line.
The Role
You'll run the roll-former day-to-day and lead a small crew on the floor. Full training on the machine and the LGS system is provided, with hands-on support from experienced operators as you get up to speed. It's a hands-on role with real responsibility — you keep frames going out the door on time, on spec, and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate the FrameCAD and Howick roll-formers
- Lead and coordinate a small team on the floor
- Carry out first-line maintenance on the roll-formers and supporting equipment
- Assemble frames and trusses to spec, including QA before dispatch
- Keep the production area clean, safe and organised
- Run forklift operations as needed
What we're looking for
- A construction, manufacturing or labouring background, ideally with machine operating experience
- LGS or roll-former experience (FrameCAD, Howick or similar) highly regarded but not essential — we'll train the right person
- Current forklift licence
- Confident with hand and power tools
- Mechanically minded, happy to carry out basic maintenance and troubleshooting
- Reliable, self-sufficient, and willing to take ownership of the floor
- Strong commitment to safety and a tidy workplace
